Thurston Early Childhood Coalition (TECC)
Holiday 2025 Food Micro Grant - Open for applications!
TECC seeks to distribute four (4) micro-grants of up to $500 each to individuals or organizations that can provide direct food support to young children in our community and their families. With the upcoming holiday season and reductions in federal food assistance, TECC aims to responsibly spend down existing funds to meet urgent community needs. This micro-grant program is designed to be simple, transparent, and accessible to both established organizations and trusted community members.

Awardees may use funds to purchase food, culturally responsive food baskets, grocery gift cards, or other food-related supports. TECC encourages creative, efficient, and community-centered approaches to meeting this need. Priority will be given to organizations focusing on meeting the needs of young children and their families. Funds must be used solely for food or food-related supplies.

For those interested in staying informed and sharing insights, you can receive and contribute to our monthly newsletter, which features local updates, resources, and opportunities relevant to early childhood.
If you’re ready to participate more actively, consider joining a short-term planning workgroup, where we focus on specific projects or initiatives that impact young children and families.
Additionally, we welcome community members and organizations to give a presentation or "community spotlight" at our monthly membership meetings, sharing expertise, services, or success stories with our diverse network.
